This annual extravaganza is an all-star event that will see VICTORIA defend it's current status as reigning masters of Thearesports® in Australia. The latte-sipping, slightly smug but equally brilliant team from Melbourne are very confident that they will have retained the Championship Belt when the dust and fur settles.

The best from New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria and Western Australia go head to head in this off the cuff classic, the no holds barred,
shoot first, ask questions never, take no prisoners and leave no stone unturned battle to be reigned kings and queens supreme of Aussie improvised comedy.

This year's host Julia Zemiro needs no introduction to fans of Theatresports®. Our impro diva is herself a former Cranston Cup Champion and a master of the 'art of makin' it up'. She is joined on stage by her delightful co-host and timekeeper Josie O'Reilly. Josie is back in
Australia after years performing with the top impro comedy troupes in the world including Boom Chicago where she was at the helm. These two quick-witted queens of impro will deliver a
night of fast-paced fun.

Queensland is sending its finest and have a devil-may-care attitude after some inspired performances two years running. WA came very close to winning in 2006 and have sent us word that they intend to 'go one better' this time. Victoria has stacked its team with talent some fresh and some vintage. Our own home team of NSW has as its base the 2006 Cranston Cup Champions 'Randonionium' with a very special secret weapon. Hungry to get the belt back and fired up by the vocal hometown crowd, you can expect some inspired improvised comedy scenes and plenty of risk-taking.

This year's musical improvisor has worked as Bob Downe's musical director. From spontaneous Shakespeare and impromptu songs based on audience suggestions, to never-before-seen games and challenges, the pressure will be on and the competition will be fierce with no room for wimps on this stage.
